When a provider of tailored homecare and residential care across Hull and East Yorkshire came to us with the need to merge the three areas of their business into one, we launched a clean and colourful website to meet their brief.
With almost a decade of specialist care, knowledge and experience under their belt, Westwood Care Group were looking to consolidate their brand awareness by tying together their separate business areas: Westwood Care Group, Westwood Care and Support Services and Westwood Training.
As a marketing agency specialising in web design in Hull, we saw this as a fantastic opportunity to fulfil their requirements with a bespoke WordPress website that would both modernise and simplify their brand.
Currently working on SEO and social media Management for Westwood Care Group and Westwood Care and Support Services, we were already situated well to launch a new site without seeing a drop in our client’s keyword rankings and traffic.
Westwood Care Group’s main priority for the website was to inform visitors of their core services as clearly as possible. As the audience they aim to attract to their website may have learning disabilities, hearing loss or visual impairment, we understood the fundamental need for the website to be easily accessible.
The client explained that a bright, interactive and colourful website with a high visual impact was essential.
Alongside their vision of a new website, they also had a tired looking brand pack which we knew could be tweaked to bring them into 2020.
In early 2019, we revamped Westwood Care Group’s business with a full new brand pack which incorporates all three areas of their business. This included three separate logos, new stationery and digital graphics.
Their new website launched in October 2019, employing a brand new layout which puts easy navigation at the forefront. Our web design specialists chose to build the site using WordPress to allow our client to easily update content without the need of a developer, whilst using a completely bespoke theme to adhere to Google’s ranking factors.
We took into account user accessibility as well as SEO compliance to work alongside our previous SEO efforts leading up to the site launch, ensuring the website is mobile-first, fully optimised and has an optimal page load time with the help of technical SEO.
The new website follows our new brand pack, featuring new colours, logos and iconography to give the business a high-impact, playful look that reflects the positivity of their brand.
Our SEO specialists first began implementing an SEO strategy in November 2017 and continued with this in the run up to the new website. This has resulted in an impressive 830% increase in users and 812% increase in session duration, proving how effective SEO is at bringing in relevant traffic.
