Ryanair is a worldwide recognisable ultra-low-cost airline founded in 1984. Now I guess you’re thinking, why are we writing a blog on Ryanair? Well the reason being is that the airline company have absolutely dominated their competitors in terms of marketing themselves!

Ryanair post on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn but these aren’t the platforms that gave them huge success. Ryanair delved into the world of TikTok in May 2020 and ever since then they’ve never looked back. With over 1.5 million followers and 44.5 million video likes they have one of the most popular accounts on the platform. But why are getting so much success?

Their humanised approach to their marketing is very original as you wouldn’t expect a business of their size to advertise themselves in such a childlike yet lighthearted way! However, that is what has brought them so much success. From silly dancing videos to straight up dissing their competitors, it’s what people like to see (something different).

It’s rumored that social media influencer – Olivia Neil has ran the account since launch. Having a young social star running your platform can only benefit as she knows the current trends and what people want to see on TikTok.
